Green Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm by the adorable HNPS and HMS LKG kids at a beautifully transformed Singarachariar Hall, which the dedicated kindergarten teachers completely made over into a vibrant, lush green wonderland. This wonderful celebration ensured that the concept of the colour green was introduced to them in the best possible way, blending fun learning with creative expression so deeply that the colour green is now in the mind of the children evergreen. The venue was spectacularly set up by the teachers to feature a dense forest, a huge majestic peacock, a vegetable shop, and a beautiful bamboo region complete with a panda, all crafted creatively in shades of green. The undisputed highlight of the event was the eco-themed fancy dress competition, which saw our enthusiastic tiny tots transform into an array of nature's wonders. Dressed up brilliantly as crisp green vegetables, juicy fruits and mighty towering trees, the children captivated the audience not just with their vibrant handmade costumes, but with their incredible eloquence on stage. These confident young speakers delivered delightful, heartwarming speeches and meaningful words about environmental awareness that truly won everyone's hearts, proving the timeless words of Thiruvalluvar: "Kuzhal inidhu yaazh inidhu enbar thammakkal mazhalai sol kelaadhar" (Sweet is the flute, sweet is the lute, say those who have not heard the prattle of their own children).
